`application-version`

The application-version specifies the version of application defined configuration. If the application-version is not specified in the configuration, the framework will attempt to use passed configuration as the latest version of the application configuration.

Documentation tip

In the application user guide, application developers must specify the value to be used for this configuration based on the version of the application configuration they support.

When starting an application, if a configuration file is not passed and only bootstrap configuration is used, the latest configuration version for both framework defined configuration and application defined configuration is used.
