Installing Diffusion

An installer for the Diffusion server can be downloaded from our website.

The system requirements for the Diffusion server are described here.

Installation guide

1. Open the Diffusion download page. Click on the Download link and download the diffusion-installer-6.12.1.jar file to a temporary directory.
2. In the temporary directory, double-click the diffusion-installer-6.12.1.jar file to launch the graphical installer.
   • Depending on the installation platform, you may first need to set the file to be executable, and you may need to accept warnings about running a file downloaded from the Internet.
   • On Linux/MacOS, you can run chmod +x diffusion-installer-6.12.1.jar && java -jar diffusion-installer-6.12.1.jar
3. At the Location step, select the installation destination. Use a new directory for each installation of Diffusion. Click Next.
4. At the Components step, select the components you want to install. Click Next.
5. Diffusion will be installed. Click Next.
6. Review the information presented in the Summary page. It contains instructions on how to start the Diffusion server, and how to install a different licence file. Click Done to exit the graphical installer.
